Jamie’s Smiles

An endowment fund dedicated to
helping special needs children

2007 Distribution of Grants

On November 2, 2007, Jamie’s Smiles’ second grant was issued to the Macomb Infant Preschool Program (MIPP).  This $1,000 grant will be used to purchase an indoor combined play yard and ball pit, reclining booster chairs, cube chairs and trays for bumble chairs all for the use of special needs children in the MIPP program.  Where practical, items will also be made available to loan to the parents of special needs children to enhance their therapy outside of the classroom (i.e. in the home).

As a result of the generosity of the Nino Salvaggio Charitable Foundation for Children in Need, in December Jamie’s Smiles presented an additional $5,000 grant to the Macomb Infant Preschool Program at their annual Santa Brunch for special needs children in their program.  The money will be used by MIPP for the purchase of specialized physical/occupational therapy equipment as well as for on-site education and for loan to special needs children in the Macomb Infant Preschool Program.
